Why is Dance Meditation?
How can dance and music regenerate our energy?
Nataraj is the God of dance, because he uses dance to elevate his spirit, and through dance he reaches the divine and becomes light.
Music helps meditation because through music you connect to a deeper space within you and your body starts to move. It is a natural mechanism and through this connection you forget your body and slowly you also forget yourself. You are one with the divine, there is no more separation.
That is the big difference between dance and exercise. When you exercise, you dialogue with your body, you are two separate and distinct things. With dance there is no separation, you are ‘one’ with the universe, you are meditation.
Nataraj meditation is a simple meditation practised through dance created by the master Osho, capable of regenerating our energy, dissolving subtle energy blocks and even those in our physical body.
You can experience this during collective events, gradually experiencing this sacred space that you can carry within you and relive anywhere, even at home.

Dance has always been one of the most effective tools for healing, from ancient tribal shamanic dances to modern dance therapies. That is why after thousands of years it is still practised by all peoples and races.

Nataraj Meditation is for everyone. People of all ages and genders can benefit and enjoy the practice of this meditation.
Disappear in the dance
Forget the dancer, the center of the ego; become the dance. That is the meditation. Dance so deeply that you forget completely that you are dancing and begin to feel that you are the dance. The division must disappear then it becomes a meditation. If the division is there, then it is an exercise: good, healthy, but it cannot be said to be spiritual. It is just a simple dance. Dance is good in itself – as far as it goes, it is good. After it, you will feel fresh, young. But it is not meditation yet. The dancer must go, until only the dance remains.
So what to do? Be totally in the dance, because division can exist only if you are not total in it. If you are standing aside and looking at your own dance, the division will remain: you are the dancer and you are dancing. Then dancing is just an act, something you are doing; it is not your being. So get involved totally, be merged in it. Don’t stand aside, don’t be an observer.
